Job Description

As a diesel fitter, you will be responsible for performing the servicing, repair and maintenance of large-scale mobile mining equipment. This includes completing general maintenance, breakdowns, services and component change-outs to a high standard.

You will source technical information from relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer-based systems. Ensuring good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times is also crucial.

Conducting required inspections to maximise equipment utilisation is an essential aspect of this role. You will work collaboratively with the maintenance supervisor and other team members to deliver high-quality solutions and results.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Trade Certificate in Diesel Fitting or relevant equivalent
  • Post-trade experience working in the Mining or Heavy Earth Moving industry
  • Experience in General Maintenance, Breakdowns, Component Change Outs and Servicing of Heavy Earth Moving Equipment
  • Demonstrated experience with Liebherr and CAT Heavy Earth Moving Equipment
