Job Title: Underground Mining Specialist

The premium metallurgical coal from this operation plays an essential role in not only powering the world but also in building its infrastructure.

About the role:

  • Conducting thorough risk assessments, identifying hazards, and adhering to safety protocols relevant to the position.
  • Performing underground mining activities including coal extraction using both longwall and continuous miners, providing primary and secondary support, and operating a range of mining equipment to ensure safe production levels.
  • Participating in site-wide improvement initiatives.

About you:

  • Prior experience in underground coal mining with current competencies for operating various underground mining equipment, mobile equipment, and supporting activities.
  • Experience in Development and Longwall mining operations would be highly valued.
  • A demonstrated commitment to safety and ability to work effectively within a team are key requirements.
  • Commitment to achieving high-performance standards.
  • Relevant certifications (Bolter, Shuttle Car, Loader, Drift runner).
