Lead Senior Engineer Position

About the Role

This is a senior engineering leadership role that involves delivering complex transport infrastructure projects across Australia and internationally.

The position requires hands-on technical delivery of bridge and transport structure projects, applying advanced engineering techniques with minimal supervision. Key responsibilities include mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure project success.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Leads technical delivery of bridge and transport structure projects using standard and advanced engineering methods
  • Develops design solutions, prepares drawings, calculations, and specifications for structural forms including reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, and steel
  • Performs structural planning, analysis, and design for transport infrastructure projects
  • Collaborates with clients and contractors to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Serves as a mentor to junior engineers, fostering their technical growth and development
  • Manages mid-size projects with limited supervision
Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you will need a minimum of 7 years' professional experience in structural engineering, focusing on bridges. You should also be chartered and registered as a Professional Engineer in Victoria (RPEV). Additionally, experience in project management and proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as Midas Civil, SpaceGass, Strand 7, SBD, Excel are required.

An interest in parametric modeling and strong problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
