Job Description

Design and Deliver Electrical Engineering Solutions

Contribute to the development of power generation projects across Australia by providing expert technical advice on electrical engineering design and delivery. This will include:

  • Supporting client engagement and developing business opportunities
  • Providing technical input on grid connections, substation design, and generator connections
  • Managing project-related design deliverables, including single-line diagrams and high-voltage reticulation design
  • Reviewing subcontractor and equipment supplier documents for completeness and compliance with Australian Standards
  • Participating in project delivery, construction management, and commissioning
  • Providing site-based support for projects across Australia (with potential travel requirements)

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • At least 7 years of experience in electrical detailed design for renewable or conventional power generation facilities in Australia
  • Strong understanding of HV, MV, and LV electrical design, general arrangement, and generator connections
  • Competence in electrical design tools like ETAP, Digsilent PowerFactory, or similar
  • Sound understanding of Australian industry codes and standards, particularly the National Electricity Rules (NER)
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to negotiate with internal and external stakeholders
