The Product Designer Role

As a Product Designer at our organization, you will play a crucial role in translating the brand's vision and creative direction into innovative product designs that resonate with our community. This position requires creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for design to drive the development of products that meet functional, aesthetic, and market requirements.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
  • Collaborate with Creative Direction to understand the product vision and community needs
  • Apply insights from thorough testing to improve and optimize product performance and durability
  • Translate conceptual ideas into detailed sketches and digital renderings
  • Develop comprehensive technical drawings and specifications
  • Participate in the review and refinement of prototypes and samples
  • Research and evaluate materials, trims, and embellishments
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor offerings
  • Collaborate with the graphics team to develop colour palettes, prints, and graphics

To excel in this role, you should have experience working with activewear fabrics, be able to meet deadlines, and possess analytical and adaptable skills. Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management Software, CAD tools, and manufacturing processes is also essential.

You will need to demonstrate:

  • Strong design skills with attention to detail and creativity
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Experience with activewear fabrics and manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency in Product Lifecycle Management Software, CAD tools, and other relevant software
