Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour is a flagship hotel that embodies the art of French hospitality, blending local culture with luxury amenities. As a Team Leader in our In Room Dining and Minibar team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Job Summary

This leadership position involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of our In Room Dining and Minibar, ensuring seamless service delivery and maintaining the highest standards of excellence. You will work closely with the Assistant Outlet Manager to implement departmental procedures and checklists, while embodying the Sofitel brand's values of 'Passion for Excellence'.

About the Role
  • Oversight of In Room Dining and Minibar operations, including organizing and controlling daily tasks and implementing departmental procedures and checklists.
  • Maintenance of outlet standards, adhering to Sofitel Brand Standards and enhancing the overall guest experience through exceptional service.
  • Demonstrating a 'can-do' attitude and embodying the art of French hospitality to provide guests with flair and professionalism.
  • Performance of tasks within timely manner, prioritizing efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaboration with the Outlets Manager to train and develop ambassadors, maintaining detailed training logs and ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Engagement with guests, responding to comments, requests, and complaints while informing supervisors and managers of any issues.
  • Management of storerooms, maintaining tidiness and adequate inventories, upholding high standards of quality control.
  • Setting an example in terms of departmental grooming and customer attitude, promoting a positive and welcoming environment.
  • Familiarization with Food and Beverage operations on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, staying updated on SOPs and policies.
Requirements
  • A highly motivated individual with excellent attention to detail, possessing strong communication skills.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Possession of a current RSA certificate, ensuring compliance with liquor laws and regulations.
  • Able to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • A professional appearance at all times, representing the Sofitel brand and its values.
