About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housing Officer to join our team at Community Housing Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality tenancy and property management services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional tenancy management services to our clients, ensuring their needs are met and their tenancies are managed effectively.
  • Conduct property inspections, allocate vacant properties, and manage rental collections and arrears.
  • Coordinate lease and rent reviews, and perform exit procedures in accordance with our policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including government departments, asset management teams, and support agencies.
  • Represent Community Housing Ltd at hearings and other meetings as required.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including reporting, addressing complaints, and maintaining accurate property and tenancy data.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in providing client-focused tenancy management services.
  • Solid understanding of the Residential Tenancies Act and relevant legislation.
  • Relevant skills and experience in working sensitively with diverse customer groups, including those with complex needs.
  • Confidence in liaising with various stakeholders, including vulnerable individuals.
  • Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a caring and empathetic nature.
  • Previous experience working with MS Office programs and ability to compose professional correspondence.
  • A current driver's license.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in the social or community housing industry.
