About the Role

As a Supervisor (Patching) with the City of Ipswich, you will be part of the Routine Maintenance Bitumen team, responsible for supervising a Patching Crew. Your primary focus will be on day-to-day operations to maintain potholes within the Ipswich City Council maintained road network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and provide instruction to staff to enable skilled minor construction and maintenance of roads and drainage assets.
  • Plan, acquire, and utilize all material and resources to ensure tasks and projects are delivered efficiently.
  • Ensure all machinery and equipment is maintained.
  • Show leadership in the workplace, develop work teams and individuals, promote team effectiveness, and manage effective workplace relationships.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A current "C" Class Driver's Licence.
  • Experience in road maintenance activities.
  • A General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) card.
  • A current Medium Rigid (MR) Licence (desirable).
About the Benefits

This is a permanent full-time Local Government Employee Certified Agreement Level 7-9 position with a salary commencing at $68,344 plus superannuation of up to 12.5%.
