We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Operations Manager to join our team at Weir Minerals. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise Site Teams: Lead and manage site teams to ensure the safe and efficient completion of customer site work, including the provision of service and supervision to customers' equipment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Complete repairs on critical equipment, including stripping, assessment, assembly, drawing amendments, and machine maintenance on project works.
- Resource Management: Supervise resources with a zero incident target and manage the supervision of trade resources to refurbish/restore components and equipment to design standards.
- Project Management: Manage projects with budgeted hours and costs, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and backup covering the operation and maintenance of steam turbines, gearboxes, and generators at our clients' sites.
- Quotations and Procurement: Prepare quotations to clients covering repair work in the workshop and liaise with subcontractors to carry out repair work.
- Customer Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with customers through face-to-face contact, ensuring trust, reliability, and strength through knowledge of Weir.
- Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering or Fitting: Possess a relevant trade qualification or equivalent experience.
- Leadership Experience: Have experience working in a supervisory or leadership role, with a proven track record of success.
- Mechanical Product Experience: Possess knowledge of equipment such as steam turbines and gearboxes, with experience in a similar role.
- Computer Skills: Have basic computer skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Suite.
- Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Australian Work Rights: Be eligible to work in Australia and hold a valid passport.
