Electrical Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Electrical Apprentice at Nyrstar Hobart Pty Ltd. As an Electrical Maintainer, you will play a critical role in supporting our operational areas by being involved in a wide range of maintenance tasks within an industrial processing plant.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our plant
- Commission new equipment and plant, and perform electrical installations
- Repair and troubleshoot electrical issues, and provide technical support to our operational teams
- Work with a variety of industrial plant, including PLC, instrumentation, and high voltage systems
- Pre-vocational course in Electrotechnology - Cert II (or equivalent)
- Strong problem-solving skills and an inquisitive mind
- Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual
- Keen, motivated, and willing to learn
- Genuine desire to build a long-term career in electrical maintenance
