About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team at Nyrstar Hobart PTY LTD. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our electrical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and breakdown maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
  • Conduct inspections and monitoring of assets to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination
  • Manage the day-to-day performance and work activities of the team
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with maintenance and operating departments
Requirements
  • Demonstrated high level of safety behavior and adherence to regulatory requirements
  • Electrical & Instrumentation trade qualification and relevant experience
  • CPR / LVR certification and advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and SAP
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong fault finding and decision making skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and implement effective solutions
