Role Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a strategic financial analyst to join our commercial finance team in Melbourne. As a result of strong growth in our Australian business, this role will play a key part in supporting our product commercialisation efforts.

This hybrid role offers a great work-life balance, with options for remote working and a modern office space in Notting Hill. You will be reporting directly to our senior finance business partner – product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to inform decision-making on product campaign proposals, ensuring approved promotional spend is managed effectively.
  • Engage in category health review discussions to support strategic business decisions, using ARO data to identify market growth opportunities, mitigate inventory risks, and improve product profitability.
  • Develop and present comprehensive scenario planning reports to guide strategic business decisions, optimising volume and price mix.
  • Coordinate monthly NPD pricing approval processes, ensuring new product pricing strategies align with overall business goals.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement through process evaluation and refinement.

Your Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field, or relevant professional certification (CPA or CA).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or business analysis, preferably in a product-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in BI and planning tools such as QLIK and Anaplan, with experience in SAP preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills and MS Power Automate skills highly regarded.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across teams.

About the Opportunity

This role offers a competitive salary package, estimated to be around $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
