Underwriting Manager

We are seeking an experienced Underwriting Manager to lead our Care Liability team at Pen Underwriting. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for team leadership, distribution and sales strategy, and owning our Care Liability product offering.
Key Responsibilities:- Team Leadership: Set direction and manage workflow across the team, support and develop team members, drive engagement through regular communication, and foster a strong trading culture.
- Distribution and Sales: Maintain your own book and actively build and maintain broker relationships, monitor business performance, identify new products and growth areas, and stay updated on regulatory changes affecting the aged and disability sectors.
- Product and Technical: Own our Care Liability product offering, including setting direction and managing workflow, supporting and developing team members, and driving engagement through regular communication.
- Strong leadership skills and technical underwriting expertise in the healthcare or care sectors.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with brokers, agents, and clients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
