Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team of Underwriters in NSW/ACT to execute the go-to-market and underwriting strategy.
- Manage new business and renewal portfolios to achieve strong market focus.
- Collaborate with the NSW sales and underwriting team to ensure effective operational requirements and business needs are met.
- Advocate for change transformation, including the adoption of our sustainability strategy, and work with internal stakeholders to achieve operational transformation and alignment of the Commercial business.
- Experience in Motor Underwriting and commercially astute with a comprehensive understanding of the general insurance industry.
- Proven technical underwriting capability and technical leadership.
- ANZIIF CIP member or equivalent and bachelor's degree or post-graduate qualifications.
- Strong understanding of the broker market with superior skills in relationship building and negotiations.
- Strong knowledge of the underwriting philosophy, techniques, regulations, and guidelines.
- People management experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong presentation skills.
