Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an academic expert in Volcanology, Magmatism, and Numerical Modelling to contribute to our teaching, research, and academic development goals.

The appointee will be responsible for:

  • Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students in the field of volcanology, magmatism, and numerical modelling.
  • Supervising higher degree research students and guiding their academic and professional development.
  • Conducting high-quality research with national and international impact, securing funding, publishing findings, and supervising research students.
  • Maintaining productive links within the University and with local, national, and international communities and industries.

Requirements:

  • PhD in a relevant field such as Volcanology, Magmatism, or Numerical Modelling.
  • Proven expertise in volcanology, magmatism, and numerical modelling, supported by a strong academic record.
  • Experience in university-level tutoring and learning within the field.
  • Track record of building and maintaining effective networks within the discipline, profession, industry, and wider community.
