**Associate Lecturer/Lecturer in Numerical Modelling of Magmatic and Volcanic Processes**

**About the opportunity**
The appointee will also contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, supervise higher degree research students, and support their academic and professional development, aligning with our commitment to sustainability and innovation.
**What you'll do**:
- Contribute effectively to the University's strategic objectives and operational responsibilities.
- Conduct high-quality research with national and international impact, secure funding, publish findings, and supervise research students to exceed performance expectations.
- Deliver high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
- Develop and maintain productive links within the University and with local, national, and international communities and industries.
**What we're looking for**:
- PhD in a relevant field.
- Proven research expertise in volcanology, magmatism, and numerical modelling, supported by a strong academic record.
- Experience in university-level tutoring and learning within the field.
- Track record of building and maintaining effective networks within the discipline, profession, industry, and wider community.
- Willingness to participate in ship-based scientific research.
- A record of (Level A) or demonstrated success (Level B) in securing external funding as a co
- or lead-investigator.
- A contribution to (Level A) or experience (Level B) in teaching experience in undergraduate volcanology.
- Experience supervising honours, Masters, and/or PhD students (Level B).
**Salary details**
Appointment to this role will be at Academic Level A or Level B and will have a total remuneration package of up to $150,759 comprising base salary within the range of $80,462 to $128,854 plus 17% superannuation.
