Disability Support Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Disability Support Worker. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing personal care and daily living assistance to participants, including meal preparation, domestic assistance, and manual handling tasks.
  • Assisting participants with challenging behaviors and mental health needs, using Behaviour Support Plans to ensure safe and respectful interactions.
  • Supporting participants to engage in activities that promote their physical and emotional well-being, such as exercise, social events, and hobbies.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized plans that meet the unique needs of each participant.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation, including shift notes and incident reports.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working in the disability/aged care sector.
  • Current certifications in First Aid & CPR, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card), NDIS Working with Children Clearance (Blue Card), and NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate.
  • A valid driving license and comprehensive vehicle insurance.
  • Availability to work across a range of allocated shifts, including sleepovers, and short notice availability is highly regarded.
