Specialist Clinician Opportunity

We are seeking a Specialist Clinician to provide specialist child and adolescent mental health care to consumers with diagnosed eating disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering comprehensive assessment, education, counseling and group work interventions.
  • Undertaking in-depth assessments to ensure optimal understanding of presenting mental health/eating disorder issues.
  • Acting as a consultant and resource person to provide information and education regarding child, adolescent, and family mental health eating disorders.
  • Promoting access and equity of services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people and their families.
About the Role:
  • Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with other professionals, facilitate group functions, and work collaboratively as a team member.
  • Clinical experience in the treatment and management of complex child and adolescent mental health issues, including eating disorders.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of theory and practice of clinical work within discipline, including group work and developmental theory.
  • Knowledge of the mental and physical impact of eating disorders on the individual and the family unit.
