About the Role:

As a Senior Clinician, you will be responsible for delivering care to clients across South Australia suffering from eating disorders. The Specialist Emergency Department Service provides care through consultation liaison; evidence-based care and integrated research.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake a clinical case load and provide individual support to clients with a diagnosed eating disorder,
  • Conduct assessments and plan recovery-focused services for individual clients, including bio-psycho-social assessment and mental state examination, including risk assessment of all clients referred to the service,
  • Offer specialist, evidence-based group or individual programs according to own knowledge base and individual skill, as determined by service/team requirements,
  • Provide consultation and assistance to Community Mental Health Teams and CAMHS to meet the mental health care needs of the client group,
  • Coordinate, participate in, initiate and implement programs, methodologies, projects and assignments as negotiated with the team and other appropriate senior staff,
  • Lead clinical teams to incorporate recovery-focused psychosocial and contemporary approaches/models into practice,
  • Support the development and implementation of workflow processes, quality assurance processes and ensure optimal work outcomes.
