About the Role

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services is seeking a motivated and dedicated Firefighting Specialist to join our team. As a Firefighting Specialist, you will be responsible for responding to emergency incidents, promoting community safety, and contributing to the upkeep and hygiene of station facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to fire and other emergency incidents, promoting a safe and effective response.
  • Promote community safety and emergency preparedness through community education activities.
  • Develop and maintain competencies through regular drills and training courses.
  • Maintain the required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training.
  • Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment in a safe and effective manner.
  • Contribute to incident reporting and general station administration as required.

Requirements

  • Eligible to apply for, or hold a current Blue Card.
  • Employers written consent to attend incidents and emergencies (where applicable).
  • Live or work within a reasonable distance of auxiliary fire station.
  • Australian Permanent Resident Status.
  • Manual C Class driver's licence.
