Firefighting Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Firefighting Support Specialist to join our team at Queensland Fire and Emergency Services.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to our fire prevention, response, and recovery activities across Queensland.
The successful candidate will work closely with our emergency service teams to ensure the safety of people and property.
Main Responsibilities- Respond to fire and other emergency incidents in a safe and effective manner.
- Promote community safety and emergency preparedness through community education activities.
- Develop and maintain competencies by participating in regular drills and training courses.
- Maintain required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training.
- Operate specialist firefighting equipment in a safe and effective manner.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A manual C Class driver's licence.
- Australian Permanent Resident Status.
- Employer's written consent to attend incidents and emergencies (where applicable).
- Ability to live or work within a reasonable distance of an auxiliary fire station.
You will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.

Salary InformationThe estimated annual salary for this position is around $60,000 - $80,000 depending on experience and location.
