Maintenance Scheduler

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Scheduler to join our team. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal downtime.

About the Role

In this critical role, you will work closely with planners, supervisors, operations, and supply teams to prioritize maintenance activities based on statutory requirements, equipment criticality, and operational demands.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and issue short-term maintenance schedules that optimize labor, equipment access, permits, and parts.
  • Prioritize and sequence maintenance activities in line with safety, compliance, and operational needs.
  • Confirm job readiness by reviewing work packs, permits, and resourcing prior to execution.
  • Coordinate with operations to minimize downtime and maximize fleet availability.
  • Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, adjusting priorities where required.
  • Maintain and update SAP scheduling data, crew allocations, and task timings.
  • Support shutdown planning and coordination for major maintenance events.
  • Track and report schedule adherence, highlighting delays and improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of scheduling tools, processes, and dashboards.
Requirements
  • Trade qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, or similar) or Cert IV in Maintenance Planning/Scheduling.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a mobile fleet or fixed plant scheduling role within mining or heavy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HME maintenance workflows, statutory servicing intervals, and OEM requirements.
  • Proficiency with SAP PM / AMT or equivalent CMMS.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling tools (Project, Prometheus, Primavera).
  • Strong technical writing, reporting, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with operations, maintenance, and supply chain teams.
