Training Content Developer

The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry seeks a highly skilled Training Content Developer to join its Maritime Operations and Regulatory Capability team.

This key role will involve working collaboratively with stakeholders to design and develop training materials and assessment tools for Biosecurity Officers. The successful candidate will facilitate formal face-to-face or virtual training and competency-based assessment, providing constructive and positive feedback to individuals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing engaging training content that meets the needs of Biosecurity Officers;
  • Facilitating effective training and assessment sessions to ensure high-quality learning outcomes;
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to provide expert advice on training and development initiatives;

Eligibility criteria include holding a valid Australian motor vehicle drivers' licence and wearing appropriate protective personal equipment and clothing to comply with departmental Work Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Successful candidates will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge and experience in adult learning principles and methodologies is essential, along with a strong understanding of the department's purpose, objectives, and priorities.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of delivering high-quality training and development programs, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
