Job Overview:

The primary objective of this role is to spearhead the development and implementation of comprehensive HR strategies across multiple sites and departments. This senior-level position requires an individual with exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of relevant legislation, and a results-driven approach.

This is a dynamic and challenging role that demands a strong ability to drive business outcomes through effective people management practices.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for HR initiatives aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Provide expert guidance to General Managers and line managers on employee relations, performance management, remuneration, and benefits.
  • Manage a diverse range of HR functions including learning and development, recruitment, industrial relations, workplace health and safety, and HR administration.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address operational needs within the realm of HR.
  • Lead and develop the NSW Human Resources team to deliver optimal services.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 8-10 years' experience in HR at a management level leading a small team, preferably in a mid/large organization.
  • Experience with Enterprise Agreement management and union relationships is desirable.
  • Strong relationship management, influencing, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Exposure to and knowledge of a diverse range of Human Resources specialities including learning & development, remuneration, industrial relations, recruitment, workplace health and safety, resource planning, and change management.
  • Knowledge of current employment/industrial relations legislation.
  • Compliance focus.
  • High attention to detail and quality of outputs, particularly written communications.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word & Excel in particular.
  • HRIS (Oracle HCM) and SAP Payroll advantageous.
