Job Title: Educational Technology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Educational Technology Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and technology to make a real difference in the lives of students and staff.

About the Role:

  • Provide comprehensive support to university staff engaged in developing and delivering face-to-face and online courses, ensuring seamless integration of educational technologies to enhance the learning experience.
  • Monitor job requests, troubleshoot and provide timely resolution of e Learning support requests and incidents, demonstrating exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Support the administrative functions within the Learning Management System, e Portfolio, Video Capture and Streaming Server, Virtual Classrooms and Plagiarism Prevention, promoting efficient workflows and streamlined processes.
  • Undertake a range of operational tasks to assist staff and student use of learning technologies, including training sessions and workshops to ensure effective adoption and utilization of digital tools.
  • Produce and contribute to the development of instructional resources for staff and students, leveraging expertise in educational technology to create engaging and interactive content.
  • Deliver introductory training sessions to staff and students in the technical knowledge required to use e Learning technologies, facilitating seamless adoption and minimizing disruption to teaching and learning activities.

About You:

  • Proven experience in providing e Learning technology support and e Learning development in a higher education setting, with a strong understanding of current trends and best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting and administering a range of e Learning technology software applications, including Learning Management Systems, e Portfolios, and multimedia tools.
  • Capacity to undertake routine technical tasks within Learning Management Systems, ensuring accurate and efficient completion of duties.
  • Experience in delivering staff training in the use of learning technologies to support sound pedagogical models and practices, promoting innovative approaches to teaching and learning.
  • Experience in developing comprehensive support resources to assist staff and students, including user guides, tutorials, and FAQs.
