About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Business Analysis Practice Lead to join our team at CPA Australia Ltd. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our Business Analysis practice and ensuring the delivery of high-quality business analysis services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Business Analysis Practice: Manage and lead a team of internal and external Business Analysts, ensuring the delivery of business analysis services that meet the needs of our organization.
  • Develop and Implement Business Analysis Methods: Design, develop, and implement best practice business analysis methods, models, and techniques based on BABOK principles.
  • Provide Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance to less experienced business analysts and peer review other BA documentation as required.
  • Ensure Process Compliance: Ensure that processes and procedures involving business analysis are documented, kept up to date, and followed appropriately.
  • Set Vision and Standards: Set and maintain the vision, quality, and service standards for the BA Practice, BA tools, processes, and procedures.
Day-to-Day Operational Duties
  • Gather and Analyze Requirements: Gather and analyze detailed, high-quality business, data, functional, non-functional, and architecture requirements in a manner aligned with project expectations.
  • Produce Business Analysis Documentation: Produce all types of business analysis documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, data specifications, change impact assessments, and more.
  • Validate Requirements: Work with and support senior business users to validate requirements, ensuring end-to-end solutions deliver the required outcomes.
  • Validate Solution Design: Validate solution design and articulate concerns, identifying solutions and aspects thereof where design does not meet requirements.
  • Manage Financial Constraints: Have a clear understanding of the financial constraints on projects or activities, ensuring requirements are gathered and solutions designed with constraints in mind.
  • Manage Vendors: Manage vendors to an agreed contract (scope and time), particularly when dependencies are present.
  • Follow Commercial Processes: Follow commercial processes in the procurement of external resources.
About You
  • Significant Experience: Significant experience in a similar role with demonstrated experience in delivering projects using different project methodologies such as Prince2, PMBOK, and Agile.
  • Technical Skills: Prior experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or Confluence, and demonstrated experience using requirement, defect, and test management tools such as TFS.
  • End-to-End SDLC Experience: End-to-end System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) experience.
  • Industry Accreditation: CBAP or equivalent industry accreditation.
  • Business Process Mapping: Business Process Mapping (BPM) experience and implementation.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Team Player: Enjoy working in a team-based environment where you can use your analytical and problem-solving skills.
