Equipment Repair Professional

The Equipment Repair Professional plays a vital role in the success of our operations across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Owns the end-to-end equipment repair process.

  • Defines, builds, and implements the overall equipment repair strategy.

  • Ensures timely delivery of customer quotes, financial performance, job cost, and DIFOT metrics are met.

  • Leads the repairs team consisting of coordinators, administrators, planners, and technical support coordinators.

  • Serves as deputy to the service center manager, filling in when required.

  • Identifies new equipment repair opportunities, builds valuable partnerships, and expands market reach to drive revenue and company growth.

  • Maintains or develops standards, processes, procedures, while driving standardization within the repairs team.

  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Travels frequently in this role, with varying volumes based on requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Commitment to Safety and fostering an inclusive work environment.

  • Background in engineering, metallurgy, plant operations, or services to the mining industry in fixed plant arena.

  • Proven track record in managing large industrial equipment repairs.

  • Solid sales/business development experience within the region.

  • Understanding of mining operations and criticality of plant availability and planned maintenance.

  • Experience working with customers to align provision of equipment through optimisation and digitisation.

  • Financial acumen and cost consciousness with demonstrated history of cost-effective practices.

  • Excellent commercial knowledge, communication, and high-level negotiation skills.

  • Ability to deliver in fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.

  • Logical thinking, creative problem solving, and sound decision-making skills.
