Support Professional

Job Role

As a Support Professional, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities by promoting independence and community participation. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Providing personal care and domestic support to individuals with disabilities
  • Assisting with daily activities such as showering, dressing, and meal preparation
  • Supporting individuals to develop their skills and interests
  • Encouraging participation in community activities and events

You will collaborate closely with our team to ensure each individual receives the highest level of care and support. A 24/7 rotating roster may require working days, evenings, awake shifts, sleepovers, and weekend shifts.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Transferable skills in providing care and compassion to others
  • A valid Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle (essential)
  • Flexibility to work on a 24/7 rotating roster
  • A Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (HLTAID0011) or willingness to obtain prior to commencing
  • The ability to support others with personal care and domestic duties in a respectful manner
  • The capacity to meet the physical requirements of the job that may include manual handling tasks
  • Good computer, communication, and interpersonal skills
