DBT Therapist Opportunity

  As a clinical DBT therapist at our organization, you will work within a comprehensive and adherent DBT outpatient program. You will be part of a therapeutic community of like-minded clinicians providing therapy in a safe, supportive, and deeply caring environment.

  The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning, be open to clinical growth, and have confidence working with clients who have multiple life challenges. They will be proficient in delivering all areas of the standard DBT model: individual therapy, group skills training, and phone coaching.

  Regular meetings will support each other in being the best DBT therapists possible. It is also a place to learn, share, and grow. Keeping up-to-date with DBT research and training opportunities is our philosophy.

  Previous experience with DBT is preferred but not essential. We will provide those without this background through 16-week online Foundational Training provided by Behavioral Tech.

  Suitable candidates must have Australian citizenship or permanent residency, be registered as a clinical psychologist/psychologist/mental health accredited social worker/occupational therapist, be a registered Medicare provider, and be able to offer some clinical services outside of normal business hours.

  • Collaborate with other therapists to ensure cohesive treatment
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss client progress and address any concerns
