The DBT Psychology Clinic is looking to employ part-time clinicians to work in our comprehensive and adherent DBT outpatient program. As a therapist at the DBT Psychology Clinic you will be a member of a therapeutic community of like-minded clinicians. You will focus on providing therapy within a safe, supportive and deeply caring environment.
Responsibilities- Provide therapy within the standard DBT model: individual therapy, group skills training and phone coaching.
- Work as part of a clinical team, participating in weekly meetings to support ongoing professional growth and to share best practices.
- Keep up-to-date with DBT research and training opportunities; monitor the effectiveness of programs with a range of measures.
- Contribute to a satisfying work experience with a focus on self-care and sustainable practice.
- Offer clinical services outside of normal business hours, including running an evening skills training group.
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
- Registered clinical psychologist/psychologist/mental health accredited social worker/occupational therapist.
- Five years of clinical experience is essential.
- Previous experience with DBT is preferred; for those without this background, we will support you through the 16-week online Foundational Training (provided by Behavioral Tech).
- Attending weekly consult team meetings on Thursday afternoons.
- Ability to develop your own private practice at the same premises, in addition to being part of the DBT team.
