DBT Therapist Position

Overview

The position is for a DBT therapist to join our team of like-minded clinicians providing therapy within a safe and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, group skills training, and phone coaching sessions in accordance with the standard DBT model.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team in weekly meetings to ensure ongoing professional growth and best practices.
  • Keep up-to-date with DBT research and training opportunities, monitoring the effectiveness of programs using various measures.
  • Contribute to a sustainable work experience through self-care and focus on delivering quality services.
  • Offer flexible hours including evening skills training groups.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
  • Registered clinical psychologist/psychologist/mental health accredited social worker/occupational therapist.
  • At least five years of clinical experience is essential.
  • Previous experience with DBT is preferred, but we will support new staff members through 16-week online Foundational Training (provided by Behavioral Tech).
  • Ability to develop a private practice at the same premises as part of the DBT team.
