About the Role
  • This role involves performing specialized clinical pharmacy tasks, including comprehensive medication review, therapeutic drug monitoring, and optimization of cancer therapies. You will be working closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care and support.
  • You will oversee the end-to-end medication management process, from reviewing and validating prescriptions to compounding and dispensing chemotherapy and supportive medicines. Your expertise will help ensure timely therapy initiation and smooth patient flow within oncology wards and outpatient clinics.
  • As a mentor and supervisor, you will play a key role in promoting clinical excellence, performance optimization, and professional development among our pharmacists, interns, and technicians. You will contribute to the planning and delivery of high-quality clinical pharmacy services across inpatient and outpatient settings.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform specialized clinical pharmacy tasks in accordance with relevant standards and guidelines
  • Oversee the end-to-end medication management process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Mentor and supervise pharmacists, interns, and technicians, promoting clinical excellence and professional growth
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of high-quality clinical pharmacy services
Requirements
  • Registered Pharmacist with AHPRA (no conditions on practice)
  • Eligible for Grade 2 classification under the Health Employees' Pharmacists (State) Award
  • Available for weekend and on-call rostered duties
  • Strong alignment with the Mission, Philosophy, and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent's Health Australia
  • High-level clinical expertise and competence in Cancer Care pharmacy services
