
Lead Process Improvement Specialist

The Operational Excellence Lead plays a pivotal role in driving a culture of continuous improvement across the Enterprise.
This involves proactively reviewing existing processes, workflows and systems to identify opportunities for optimisation and developing actionable recommendations aligned to better practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and execution of the Operational Excellence strategy for the Enterprise.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify opportunities for process redesign, quality improvement and best practice utilisation.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing processes, workflows and systems to identify inefficiencies, pain points and bottlenecks.
- Develop pragmatic and actionable recommendations to address identified opportunities.
- Prepare detailed reports documenting opportunities, recommendations and expected benefits.
- Communicate recommendations and expected benefits to Middle and Senior Management for consideration.
- Oversee the timely implementation of recommendations by relevant Business Units.
- Assist management with implementation of recommendations as needed.
- Establish and monitor metrics to measure the effectiveness of implemented recommendations.
- Provide operational excellence advisory support on material new or changed processes, workflows and systems.
- Assist with preparation of Management and Board reports.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering or related fields.
- Minimum 5-7 years' experience in process improvement, operational management or related field.
- Extensive financial services experience, preferably in retail banking/consumer lending.
- Expertise in process improvement methodologies and change implementation.
- Proficient in data analysis and performance metrics.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration and engagement skills.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proactive and inquisitive mindset.
