The Bequest Program Manager plays a crucial role in enhancing the visibility of legacy gifts within the organization. This position focuses on cultivating relationships with both new and existing bequestors to secure future financial support through planned giving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and nurture relationships with prospective and current bequestors.
- Formulate a comprehensive strategy for the growth of the Gifts in Wills program aimed at attracting new bequest leads.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to execute a multi-channel communication strategy that engages and inspires donors to include the organization in their wills.
- Design and implement a stewardship plan for confirmed bequestors to ensure ongoing engagement and retention.
- Create compelling materials and host events to motivate potential bequestors.
- Work alongside internal teams to optimize lead generation and retention strategies across various engagement initiatives.
- Monitor and report on the growth of the bequest pipeline and associated income.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in legacy fundraising to enhance the effectiveness of the program.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of three years of experience in fundraising, preferably in a related capacity.
- A valid driver's license.
- A current Working with Children Check.
