Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Power Systems Manager to lead and coordinate testing and commissioning activities for high voltage assets and SCADA/EMS/DMS/TMS systems. This role requires strong leadership and team management skills, as well as excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.

The successful candidate will have extensive technical experience in high voltage commissioning, testing, and asset management, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Testing and Commissioning: Lead and coordinate testing and commissioning activities for HV assets and SCADA/EMS/DMS/TMS systems, ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental and regulatory standards.
  2. National Team Management: Oversee a national team of engineers and technicians across multiple projects and locations, providing guidance and support to ensure project deliverables are met.
  3. Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental and regulatory standards, conducting regular risk assessments and implementing controls to mitigate risks.
  4. Asset Management: Champion asset management strategies that maximise operational life and performance, working closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement.
  5. Technology Adoption: Drive improvements through technology adoption and streamlined processes, identifying and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • Extensive technical experience in high voltage commissioning, testing, and asset management.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve results.
  • Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Certifications and qualifications in relevant fields such as electrical engineering or asset management.
