Job Title

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our global database development and operations efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement automated infrastructure provisioning pipelines.
  • Develop and maintain automated maintenance activities for databases.
  • Leverage commercial tooling to apply application changes while ensuring observability and safety.
  • Analyze top contributor queries to the customer experience using artificial intelligence.

This role is part of our strategic centralisation of our database estate towards a modern multi-cloud platform, fostering innovation with customer experience at its core and confident business acumen.

Requirements:

  • Hands-on knowledge of databases on AWS, GCP, and Azure from infrastructure, admin, and application perspectives.
  • Devops skills (CI/CD, Infrastructure as code – Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Programming languages (Java, Typescript, Python) and scripting tools (shell scripts).
  • Experience managing large teams of database experts and people leaders across geographies.
