Delivering Business Outcomes through Database Automation

As a Global Database DevOps Leader, you will drive business growth by automating infrastructure provisioning, database maintenance, and application changes across 5000 databases. You will leverage commercial tooling to provide a framework with observability and safety/security to apply changes.

  • Achieve scalable automation of infrastructure provisioning through pipelines in a safe, secure, and self-service manner.
  • Automate database maintenance activities through pipelines in a safe, secure, and self-service manner.
  • Leverage commercial tooling to apply application changes while ensuring observability and safety/security.
  • Drive insights into top contributor queries to the customer experience using AI and observability.

This role sits on a foundation of strategic centralisation of our database estate towards a modern multi-cloud based DBMS platform, cultivating a culture of innovation and executive leadership.

  • Hands-on knowledge of databases such as Postgres, Oracle, etc. from infrastructure, admin, and application perspectives on AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Hands-on knowledge of devops such as CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code – Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Puppet, Chef.
  • Hands-on knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Typescript, Python, and scripting tools such as shell scripts.
  • Experience managing large teams of database experts and people leaders across geographies.
