Purchasing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Purchasing Specialist to join our team.

This is a diverse and pivotal role in maintaining and streamlining the company's purchasing/procurement process. The ideal candidate will possess strong purchasing management abilities, as well as administrative skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify suppliers that offer the best product, service and quality
  • Create, organize, and send all purchase orders
  • Manage all suppliers (payments, orders, etc.) & build strong relationships
  • Liaise with the factory regarding material requisitions and deliveries
  • Obtain a thorough understanding of stock and anticipate future orders
  • Update all purchase Orders for receipts (delivery dockets, material receipts, delivery changes and back orders)
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years' experience in a purchasing capacity, ideally in a manufacturing / building industry
  • A good understanding of the manufacturing / building industry or any similar industry
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel) and other web-based technologies
