This is a fantastic chance to join our in-house legal team as a Junior Legal Counsel. You will work closely with senior lawyers, reporting directly to the Deputy General Counsel.
About the Role- Draft and review commercial and construction contracts and tenders.
- Advise on corporate, property, employment, and regulatory matters.
- Provide legal input into project opportunities and client negotiations.
- Assist with dispute resolution, compliance, investigations, and special projects.
- Support governance activities and gain exposure to board-level work.
- Research legal issues and present practical solutions to stakeholders.
- Deliver legal updates and training across the business.
- Develop and implement commercial strategies for business growth.
- Analyze and interpret complex legal information to inform business decisions.
- Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Junior Legal Counsel to join our team. The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor of Laws or JD and eligibility to practice in an Australian State or Territory.
- 1-3 years of experience in private practice or in-house.
- A grounding in commercial law with an interest in maintaining a broad but construction-focused practice.
- Strong drafting, research, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
