The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to build both commercial and construction experience, learn from experienced in-house counsel, and become a trusted adviser to a leading business in the modular construction industry. This is a hybrid role with a mix of in-office and work from home days available.

Your Impact
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial and construction contracts and tenders, building your skills in complex agreements.
  • Advise on corporate, property, employment, and regulatory matters, with opportunities to broaden your legal expertise.
  • Provide legal input into project opportunities and client negotiations.
  • Assist with dispute resolution, compliance, investigations, and special projects.
  • Support governance activities, gaining exposure to board-level work.
  • Research legal issues and present practical, commercial solutions to stakeholders.
  • Deliver legal updates and training across the business.
  • Build great working relationships across the business while learning from experienced mentors.
Requirements

You must possess:

  • Strong commercial acumen, professionalism, and curiosity.
  • Bachelor of Laws (or JD) and eligible to practice in an Australian State or Territory.
  • 1–3 years PAE (private practice or in-house).
  • A grounding in commercial law with an interest in maintaining a relatively broad but construction focused practice.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Interest in the infrastructure, construction, engineering, or mining sectors is valued but not essential.
