Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our casual pool at Northern Beaches Hospital. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work in partnership with Medical Officers, Nurses, and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide assessment and treatment to patients in acute care. You will be responsible for providing evidence-based clinical care, working in a coordinated and timely manner, and liaising with referrers, staff, relatives, and outside agencies to support independent living and safe discharge planning.

Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, evidence-based clinical care to patients in acute care
Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide assessment and treatment
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote patient independence and well-being
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to ensure seamless care coordination
Participate in quality improvement projects and in-service programs to enhance patient care and outcomes

Selection Criteria
Degree in Occupational Therapy
Current registration with AHPRA
Excellent clinical practice skills in assessment, intervention, and discharge planning
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Commitment to ongoing education and professional development
