Occupational Therapist Role
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our casual pool at Northern Beaches Hospital. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Occupational Therapy, with experience working in an acute hospital setting. As a Level 1-2 casual, your responsibilities will include providing evidence-based clinical care to patients, working in partnership with the multidisciplinary healthcare team, and participating in quality improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality Occupational Therapy services to patients in acute care settings
• Work collaboratively with Medical Officers, Nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote patient independence and well-being
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and hospital processes

Selection Criteria
• Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution
• Current registration with AHPRA
• Excellent clinical practice skills, with experience in assessment, intervention, and discharge planning
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and meet deadlines
• Commitment to ongoing education and professional development
