Job Description:

Australia Post invites applications for the role of Duty Manager, a key position within our delivery network. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Team Leaders, drivers, and freight handlers to deliver against agreed budget and performance outcomes.

The Duty Manager will oversee and manage an extensive agency network across the northwest, ensuring commercial and performance targets are met. This role requires providing clear direction, accountability, and collaboration across facility processing teams in alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and foster a capable support and team network to ensure commitment to facility objectives.
  • Manage allocation of appropriate resources and commitment of staff to enable achievement of facility objectives.
  • Be the topic matter expert in relevant area of responsibility to ensure operational and customer needs are aligned with delivery of high service quality.
  • Lead change and innovation within teams.
  • Drive new cultural practices, systems, and processes that support desired change.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a Manager/Supervisor role, preferably in a Transport background.
  • Strong people management skills to develop the current team.
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Influence and implement change in the business.
  • Safety-focused.
