Senior Legal Counsel Position

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a state-owned corporation in the property sector. A Senior Legal Counsel will be responsible for providing high-quality legal advice on capital transactions, market processes, development activities, dispute resolution and regulatory compliance.

About the Role

The successful candidate will develop and structure transactions, educate project teams and other business stakeholders on the legal aspects of the business's activities, manage external lawyers and probity advisors, and assist in the training and mentoring of lawyers and paralegals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing expert legal advice on complex property and project documentation
  • Developing and structuring transactions to achieve business objectives
  • Educating project teams and stakeholders on legal aspects of business activities
  • Managing external lawyers and probity advisors

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in law and admission in New South Wales
  • Substantial experience in property and/or construction law
  • High-level written and oral communication skills with ability to influence and engage key stakeholders
  • Exposure to construction, planning, tax and litigation within the property development context
