Senior Leadership Role

This role is responsible for elevating the visibility and strategic importance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health across Queensland.

The incumbent will provide culturally safe leadership, strengthen high-level relationships, and lead the delivery of health equity strategies.

Key responsibilities include providing strategic leadership, strengthening relationships, and advising senior officials on key issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide culturally safe strategic leadership to elevate the visibility and strategic importance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health.
  • Strengthen high-level relationships to deliver health equity strategies.
  • Advise senior officials on state, national, and international issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and wellbeing.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and identity.
  • Proven track record of advocating for and leading health equity strategies, supported by extensive experience in strategic leadership.
  • Strong governance and policy experience, with the ability to work effectively with senior officials and community leaders.
