Counsellor

Reimagine workplace health and wellbeing through innovative solutions.

As a dedicated counsellor, you will provide short-term, solution-focused therapy to diverse individuals across various age groups and cultural backgrounds. You will work online to support members with mental health challenges, helping them develop self-management strategies and achieve positive outcomes.

This role involves delivering six counselling sessions per day, supporting members in achieving their mental health goals. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, with access to regular supervision and escalation pathways when needed.

  • Deliver short-term, solution-focused therapy within a stepped care model.
  • Conduct six online counselling sessions daily.
  • Provide culturally safe and inclusive support to members from diverse backgrounds.
  • Assist members in developing self-regulation strategies and achieving their mental health objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal and external health providers to implement individualised care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive case notes in compliance with best practice standards.
  • Engage in regular clinical supervision, training, and quality assurance activities to ensure high professional standards.
Requirements:

You hold a minimum Bachelor's degree in Counselling from Australia or New Zealand, valid registration with a professional body such as PACFA- Clinical, ACA - Level 3 or above, AASW or NZAC, and at least 3 years of direct experience in 1-1 therapy sessions with adults.

Key qualifications include evidence-based counselling, documented counselling instruction (minimum 400 hours), delivered therapy (140 hours), recorded therapy during course placement (40 hours), a continuous improvement mindset, ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, and resilience in managing complex situations.

Ambitious candidates must have excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills, with a focus on providing high-quality care and evidence-based practice.
