
Rural Installation Specialist

This role requires a lot of travel and working away from home on a 21-day on/7-day off roster.
You'll most likely be working in rural areas across NSW and be required to work 10–12-hour days.
As most the locations will be rural, the majority of our team have their own caravans to sleep in as there is not usually any local accommodation around.
The ideal candidate will thoroughly enjoy working away in site teams or be based in regional NSW and be able to commute to project sites.
The position will assist in the installation of optic fibre cables for the Telstra network on the inter city fibre network (ICF) project.
Career Opportunities- Rod, rope & hauling – hauling multiple cables by hand & machinery, quality checks.
- Civil activities – repair blockages, operate plant and equipment such as dozer, excavator, vacuum trucks, winches, mobile cranes and HR trucks.
- Labouring duties – cut and repair fences, undertake excavation using hand and mechanical methods.
- Mandatory – current construction white card.
- Beneficial but not essential:
- Current, heavy rigid truck license.
- Operator & VOC excavator.
- Senior first aid certificate.
- Work safety at heights.
- High risk license.
- Vehicle loading crane.
