Defence Bank is seeking a skilled Compliance Analyst to join its risk and compliance team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supporting the management of Defence Bank's risk and compliance systems.
- Oversee the administration of the Bank's central risk and compliance system, ensuring ongoing monitoring and compliance obligation mapping.
- Complete compliance test activities directed by the Head of Compliance.
- Maintain Risk & Compliance policy and procedure documentation and recommend updates where required.
- Provide advice on proposed internal processes or regulatory changes to business units.
- Assist in the oversight and reporting of internally reported incidents and breaches.
- Compile monthly risk & compliance data and metrics for use as part of the department's monitoring and reporting activities.
- Monitor key business exception reports & test and escalate further action where necessary.
- Support the department's annual compliance monitoring & testing programs.
- Assist in the preparation, validation, and lodgement of regulatory and industry returns.
- At least 3-5 years' relevant experience in financial services with a focus on risk & compliance activities.
- A good understanding of the banking & financial services regulatory environment.
- Tertiary qualifications in Law, Finance, or Compliance.
- Demonstrated experience or skills in building relationships and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
- Developing and conducting monitoring & testing activities.
- Preparing data and reports.
- Analysing complex situations and identifying workable solutions.
- Utilising contemporary risk & compliance frameworks in practice.
- Working autonomously.
- Self-managing your work to achieve deadlines.
