Renowned for our amazingly fresh sushi, a wide selection of Japanese street food, traditional curries, ultra-fresh sashimi, and an energetic lineup of Japanese cocktails and tap beers, we create a vibrant, fast-paced atmosphere—all centred around our fully open kitchen.
About the Role:
- Lead and supervise staff to ensure they understand our values and standards.
- Create a working environment that attracts talented staff and develop & retain the staff to ensure a successful team.
- Recruit and train staff, with a positive attitude towards training that creates a team that understands the importance of great customer service.
- Ensure all staff are aware of and follow our policies and processes.
- Rostering to meet KPI's.
- Deal with customer feedback in a professional manner.
- Suggest ways to improve efficiency in our operations.
- Follow daily/shift procedures and ensure restaurant environment remains clean and to standard.
- Stock ordering, receiving & rotation.
- Train senior staff how to adapt to slow & busy periods, using their initiative to delegate tasks during these times.
- Deal directly with management, contributing towards the growth of the business through your suggestions.
- Monitor standards of food being served to customers & report if not to standard.
The Ideal Candidate:
- An experienced leader who is comfortable working in fast-paced casual dining, with a passion for inspiring & engaging with your team.
- A people-focused leader who loves to coach, mentor and develop team members skills.
- A focus on continuous improvement for all facets of the business.
- The ability to ensure all staff provide a warm, friendly welcoming service to all guests and give them a reason to return.
- A current RSA certificate would be advantageous.
- A strong work ethic with willingness to learn and evolve as we do.
- Training provided in well-known industry leading software for rostering, bookings, HR onboarding & POS.
