As a Correctional Services Professional, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining community safety and supporting offenders in their journey towards rehabilitation.
The NSW Department of Communities and Justice is seeking individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of others. Our team works tirelessly to ensure that our correction facilities provide a safe and supportive environment for both inmates and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise inmates in correction facilities across New South Wales, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Monitor inmate behaviour and take necessary steps to maintain order and security within the facility.
- Interact with inmates to promote positive relationships and support their rehabilitation goals.
We are looking for individuals who possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and a strong commitment to community safety. As a Correctional Services Professional, you will work in a dynamic team environment, interacting with diverse stakeholders, including inmates, colleagues, and external agencies.
To be successful in this role, you will require a Certificate III in Correctional Practice or equivalent experience. Our comprehensive 10-week training program will equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this challenging yet rewarding career.
Benefits- A competitive salary package, estimated at AU$60,000 - AU$80,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
